By downloading, installing, or using ScribeAI, you agree to follow these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the software.

ScribeAI is open-source software. The client application is licensed under the permissive MIT License. You are permitted to copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the software in accordance with the MIT License terms.

devices 3. Usage & Local Execution

ScribeAI runs locally on your macOS device. You are responsible for ensuring that your hardware meets the necessary system requirements (such as WebGPU support, Apple Silicon or compatible hardware, and sufficient GPU/system memory) for execution of local LLM models.

key 4. Third-Party API Keys

If you configure ScribeAI to use a custom cloud AI provider (e.g. Gemini Cloud API) by supplying your own API keys, you are solely responsible for securing your API keys, adhering to that provider's terms of service, and paying any costs or fees incurred from your usage of their API.

ScribeAI is not liable for any charges, rate limiting, or key compromise resulting from your configuration of third-party API keys.

ScribeAI is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement.

In no event shall the authors or copyright holders of ScribeAI be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort, or otherwise, arising from, out of, or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software.
